The following link will take you the EDUCATOR LEVEL 1 training:
The training consists of 13 Units.
Each unit has a different number of lessons that will help you in your mastery of each of the Google Apps.
For example, Unit 1 has the following lessons:
Total time: 1 hour and 25 minutes
The number of minutes needed to complete each of the THIRTEEN UNITS will vary. If we were to average a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes per UNIT the grand total for completion of the FUNDAMENTALS TRAINING comes to 19 hours and 30 minutes (minimum).
Do the ENTIRE thing from beginning to end.
It’s time consuming, but you’ll be prepared for the FINAL EXAM.
While this may not be the most thorough way, it’s definitely the fastest.
*Please be aware that you will be asked specific questions about the information covered in the lessons. You need to also be proficient in the use of GOOGLE APPS.
Each Unit culminates with a Unit Review. I suggest working backwards.
Passing the final exam will depend on the following:
The first half of the test consists of roughly 20 multiple response questions.
After completing the 20 multiple response questions, you will be asked to complete approximately 11 performance assessments that are divided into mini-tasks.
If you have a pretty good grasp of basic Google Applications, you probably won’t need to spend too much time studying for the exam.
I think the few hours I did studying was overkill and I didn’t even come close to approaching the estimated amounts of time for each unit that Google listed on the training modules. However, if you have a decent understanding of Google Apps, but don’t think you can intuitively figure out different features of Google Apps, I would spend a couple of hours reviewing the free official training modules just to be careful.
Requirements for Test
Please be aware that failure to pass the test on your first attempt will require you to wait two weeks before you may retake the test. Failure to pass the test on your second attempt will require you to wait three months before you may retake the test a third time.
