Have you been meaning to check out Google Apps for Education? This summer, our district is offering a a great incentive to get acquainted with all the Google Apps available to us. If you go through the training modules and are able to pass the Level One exam, you will be paid for 14 HOURS OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT! This opportunity is open to all full-time faculty and administration.
We do not know if this incentive will be renewed for next year, so act fast. You have until August 30th to submit your certificate. Please note, Level One tests fundamental working knowledge of the Apps; you do not need to be an expert!
1. If you fail your first attempt, you will have to wait two weeks to re-test.
2. If you fail a second time, you will have to wait two months.
3. It may take a few days to receive your email, so make sure you test about a week in advance of the Aug. 30th deadline.
4. All training and testing must be completed on your own time. You cannot work on this during summer school.
**If you go on to Level Two certification, you may be able to get hours, but it is not guaranteed and subject to remaining funding after Level One hours are paid out.
